This customer wanted a solar panel fitting on their trusty Burstner motorhome.
The solar panels top up the leisure battery in your vehicle which is handy when you’re out and about with no hook-up cable in sight. But there’s more to it. What you might not know is that keeping your leisure battery topped up like this will also significantly extend the battery’s life. And let’s not forget – solar power is free and environmentally firendly!
On this particular motorhome we’ve installed a Vechline 120W rigid solar panel. We’ve bonded the solar panel to the roof of the motorhome with a 3M adhesive sealant to avoid drilling into the roof which could cause leaks. We then ran the wiring into the motorhome using a watertight gland and bolted the charge controller neatly inside.
The customer was very pleased with the finished product and added functionality.
